Famous Quote By Bruce Lee“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”

Social Networking is WORKINGWell I have been in the Fitness Industry for over 25 years now. When I started I walked house to house putting flyers into peoples houses and it would take me a long time to meet new people and get new clients. Here we are in 2010 and I meet new people and clients every day all over the world through FACEBOOK, YouTube, TWITTER, Myspace, MeetUp and More. It is amazing that 80 percent of my business is off of the internet now and that my clients all keep in touch with me via my Blackberry Storm. CRAZY WORLD. Avoid These 7 Foods and You're Off To A Healthier New Year1. Canned Tomatoes The expert: Fredrick vom Saal, PhD, an endocrinologist at the University of Missouri who studies bisphenol-A The resin linings of tin cans contain bisphenol-A, a synthetic estrogen that has been linked to ailments ranging from reproductive problems to heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Acidity -- a prominent characteristic of tomatoes -- causes BPA to leach into your food. 2. Corn-Fed Beef The expert: Joel Salatin, co-owner of Polyface Farms and author of books on sustainable farming Cattle were designed to eat grass, not grains. But farmers today feed their animals corn and soybeans, which fatten up the animals faster for slaughter. A recent comprehensive study found that compared with corn-fed beef, grass-fed beef is higher in beta-carotene, vitamin E, omega-3s, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), calcium, magnesium, and potassium. How to Prevent the Flu -- as Easy as 1, 2, 3...Colds are a leading cause of doctor visits and missed days from work and school, and this season is no exception. Americans suffer from approximately 1 billion colds per year, or about two to four colds per year for the average adult. But why do people start getting sick as the leaves start to fall? Unfortunately in the US, thanks to the CDC, nearly anyone seeing their doctor for a cold will be told that they are infected with H1N1 and will be added to the already inflated CDC statistics.

What the Inventor of the Flu Shot NOW Thinks of the VaccinePresident Obama and his top health officials are engaging in a major public relations effort to divert attention away from whether its swine flu vaccine is effective and safe by focusing attention on whether there is enough of it to go around. And the media is cooperating fully. Increasing numbers of scientists and doctors are issuing harsh criticisms of the government’s plan to vaccinate virtually the entire U.S. population with a poorly tested vaccine that is not only ineffective against swine flu, but could cripple and even kill many more people than it helps. The CDC’s public relations campaign has been running “scare” ads that portray swine flu as a full-blown “pandemic” responsible for snuffing out countless lives. But scientists and health officials throughout the world have called the governments claims unjustified and deliberately misleading. Sources: Global Research October 29, 2009

Treadmill vs ellipticalTwo of the most popular types of exercise equipment these days are the ellipticals and the treadmills and the manufacturers and fitness experts are quite vocal about calling attention to the benefits of each type of machine. But, sometimes all this information, advertising, and claims can make choosing between the treadmill vs elliptical difficult and even confusing. Both types of machines are commonly in use in fitness centers and there are also a variety of models of both available for use in the home. When comparing treadmills to ellipticals, you will find that treadmill equipment has been on the market for decades and is therefore more widely known, is more commonplace, and also currently has a larger following of users.

Jump Rope to Lose FatJumping rope can be a great addition to a weight-loss program. It costs next-to-nothing (all you need is a jump rope), you can do it anywhere, it doesn't require any special training and it's efficient. Minute for minute, jumping rope burns 2.3 times more calories than walking at a pace of 3 miles per hour. A 150-lb. person burns about 171 calories by jumping rope for 15 minutes; a 200-lb. person burns 228 calories in the same amount of time. Jumping rope really gets your heart pumping, making it a good cardiovascular workout. It works multiple muscle groups, especially those in the legs and the core of the body (including abs), as the core is involved in maintaining balance as you jump.

Build Muscle WorkoutsYou hear talk about burning fat and building muscle all of the time. We say the words but do we really understand what it means to burn fat? Before you begin a burn the fat, build muscle workout it is important to understand what this phrase means. This article will explain its meaning. So what is fat? This is a tissue found in everyone's body (even the most lean and ripped). It can provide energy to the body. Just about any foods that you eat will contain some degree of fat. There are different kinds of fat. Essential fat is used for bodily functions such as digestion or aiding in blood flow. It can also serve as an energy source for the body. Unfortunately essential fat is relatively scarce compared to the other kind of fat - stored fat

What are Kidney Stones and how to prevent themWhat Causes Kidney Stones? In the U.S., about 10-15 percent of adults will be diagnosed with a kidney stone in their lifetime. Roughly 1 million Americans develop kidney stones each year. Once you have had one kidney stone attack, your chance of recurrence is about 70 to 80 percent, and the younger you are when you have your first attack, the greater your risk of recurrence. Typically, a kidney stone is the result of a super-saturation of minerals and acid salts in your urine, such as calcium and uric acid, which then crystallize and form solid masses. This can happen if you don’t drink enough fluids, and if your urine is highly acidic or highly alkaline.

Anti Aging There's simply no substitute for eating healthy unprocessed whole foods. However, there are a few supplements I consider highly beneficial for nearly all adults. One of these is Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). Co Q10 has been available for decades. Why is this so significant? I believe one of the key elements in the aging process is free radical production. These free radicals are oxygen atoms deficient in electrons that become highly reactive. This in turn causes potential damage to your tissues and DNA. If there was something you could do to limit the free radical production, then you could affect the aging process. One nutrient that can help you do just that is Co Q10. Now, if you're less than 25 years old, this is not an issue your body is capable of converting Co Q10 from the oxidized to the reduced form. However, if you're older, your body becomes more and more challenged to convert the oxidized Co Q10

Grape or not to GrapeWhy Eating Grapes May Not Your Best Approach Now that I’ve clearly identified resveratrol as one of your best antioxidant sources, there’s still an open issue… what’s the best way to make sure you consume enough of this antioxidant? To me, one of your best sources of resveratrol is from grapes themselves. But, just like there are issues with other fruits, vegetables, nuts, and red wine, such is the case with grapes. See, the skin and seeds of the grapes provide you with the most potent supplies of resveratrol… not the fruit itself. The meat of the fruit contains sugary fructose which could raise your insulin levels. There’s not really an issue with eating the skin – as you consume it when eating the fruit. But the seeds are another issue. Most people don’t like to eat the seeds as they tend to be tough and have a somewhat bitter taste. And some grape processing actually removes the seeds prior to distribution at your local store.

Why you should get stress out of your Life !What is “Stress”? The classic definition of stress is “any real or imagined threat, and your body’s response to it.” Celebrations and tragedies alike can cause a stress response in your body. Some stress is unavoidable. Some mild forms of stress can even be helpful in some situations. But a stressor becomes a problem when: * Your response to it is negative. * Your feelings and emotions are inappropriate for the circumstances. * Your response lasts an excessively long time. * You’re feeling continuously overwhelmed, overpowered or overworked. It’s important to realize that all your feelings create physiological changes. Your skin, heart rate, digestion, joints, muscle energy levels, the hair on your head, and countless cells and systems you don't even know about change with every emotion

If you have occasional problems with your digestive tract, you're not alone. The discomfort of occasional abdominal bloating affects 10, 20, perhaps even 30% of adults. In "The Land of the Free", is Natural Medicine One of Your Freedoms? As of May 20, police around the country were on the lookout for a Minnesota mother who fled with her cancer-stricken 13 year old son rather than consent to chemotherapy. Colleen Hauser had told a judge that she wished to treat her son's cancer with natural healing methods advocated by an American Indian religious group known as the Nemenhah Band. Daniel has Hodgkins lymphoma, a form of cancer. But the teen and his parents rejected chemo after a single treatment, with the boy's mother saying that putting toxic substances in the body violates the family's religious convictions. The Hauser family had been ordered to appear before a judge for a hearing to consider chemo. But mother and son failed to show, and a warrant was issued for the mother's arrest. Tips to Lower Cholesterol NaturallyIt’s important to realize that there’s a big difference between average and healthy cholesterol levels. It’s very similar to what we’re now seeing with vitamin D levels. Today, however, with respect to cholesterol, the pendulum has shifted the opposite way with ever lower levels of cholesterol being recommended, primarily due to the significant influence of the drug industry. Profit, Not Health, is the Driving Factor Behind Current Cholesterol Recommendations The pharmaceutical industry quickly realized what an enormous market they could capture with cholesterol lowering drugs. And they could do this very effectively with a drug that you’d have to take for years on end, and which, for the most part, wasn’t toxic or dangerous enough to kill you quickly.

Friday Morning BluesThe uplifting effects of long-term exercise in depression may be down to a single compound - phenylethylamine - according to researchers at Nottingham Trent University. In April, Fernando Dimeo and colleagues at the Free University of Berlin published results showing that even patients resistant to antidepressant drugs can find their symptoms alleviated through regular exercise. In September psychologist James Blumenthal, of Duke University Medical Centre in Durham, North Carolina, reported how just three half-hour exercise sessions a week can be more beneficial in reducing symptoms of depression than the drug sertraline, a chemical cousin of Prozac.

MSG: Is This Silent Killer Lurking in Your Kitchen Cabinets? A widespread and silent killer that’s worse for your health than alcohol, nicotine and many drugs is likely lurking in your kitchen cabinets right now.[1] “It” is monosodium glutamate (MSG), a flavor enhancer that’s known widely as an addition to Chinese food, but that’s actually added to thousands of the foods you and your family regularly eat, especially if you are like most Americans and eat the majority of your food as processed foods or in restaurants. MSG is one of the worst food additives on the market and is used in canned soups, crackers, meats, salad dressings, frozen dinners and much more. It’s found in your local supermarket and restaurants, in your child’s school cafeteria and, amazingly, even in baby food and infant formula.

Post-Workout ConsumptionIt seems to me that there are 2 kinds of people when it comes to eating after a workout: The 'Non-Eaters' and the 'Immediate Eaters'. The 'Non-Eaters' will not really eat anything after a workout, but instead later in the day will treat themselves (to sweets/alcohol/chips/etc.) because they feel they deserve it since they exercised. The 'Immediate Eaters' finish their workout and simultaneously consume a protein bar and a post-workout shake within 5-10 minutes after their workout. On the right track, but let's analyze how that can have more of a positive effect on your workouts.

Why High-Fructose Corn Syrup Causes Insulin ResistanceA new study in mice sheds light on at least part of the reason for the insulin resistance that can come from diets high in high-fructose corn syrup, a sweetener found in most sodas and many other processed foods. Fructose is much more readily metabolized to fat in the liver than glucose, and in the process can lead to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. NAFLD in turn leads to hepatic insulin resistance and type II diabetes. Researchers showed that mice fed a high-fructose diet could be protected from insulin resistance if a gene known as transcriptional coactivator PPARg coactivator-1b (PGC-1b) was "knocked down" in the animals' liver and fat tissue. PGC-1b controls the activity of several other genes, including one responsible for building fat in the liver. This suggests an important role for PGC-1b in the pathogenesis of fructose-induced insulin resistance. Sources: Science Daily March 3, 2009 Cell Metabolism March 2009; 9(3):252-64

Not only is too much sugar bad for you, you ultimately crash as quickly as you peak and therefore you are hungry again in no time! Guess what. You eat more and more until you fall asleep. In the morning, you wake up and have a muffin and start the process all over again.

Snow Shoveling Workout? It's no exaggeration to say that shoveling snow can be a real workout. Before taking on this chore, be prepared to treat shoveling like any other exercise: * Stretch and warm up first. Starting out cold (so to speak) can lead to muscle strain. * Drink lots of water. Despite the low temperatures, you're going to sweat. Hydrate yourself. * Pace yourself. Don't rush. And be sure to take breaks. * Don't lift too much weight. Fill your shovel only halfway. If possible, shovel snow when it's fresh and powdery, rather than later, when it might be icier and heavy. READ ON FOR MORE GREAT ADVICE

Workouts when you are not feeling well.Like it or not, we are in the middle of the cold and flu season, and if you have not already been hit with the dreaded crud, you may be next in line. Even your trainer has been hit this year. Yes I got sick and I have not been sick in a very long time. My body fought it off for about 2 weeks until the Expo and then the Long weekend and stress let it in and the Flu kicked my butt. Your training has been going along well, you have built a solid base and then it happens — you wake up one morning with a scratchy throat, headache, cough and feeling like you have been hit by a truck. Is it a cold, the flu?

Almost March how is your New Years Resolution going?I think everyone has had a New Year’s resolution. And I feel pretty confident in saying that everyone has probably broken a New Year’s resolution. The reason most people break their New Year’s resolution is because people make them on emotion and then never do anything afterwards. The truth is, most New Year’s resolutions usually are things we really should be doing. One of the keys to making sure we do them is to have a clear step by step plan, for how we will make good on our New Year’s resolution. The problem is half the time (no, most of the time) we don’t know exactly what to do, so we usually don’t do anything, much less develop a plan. This is a recipe for failure. What you need is a plan that gives you ALL of the information, steps and resources to guarantee that you succeed in your resolution, but you have to be resolute in following your plan. You have to believe in it. You have to be committed to it. You have to have a desire to achieve it…And then just do it!!

Wednesday Morning MadnessI've had all the good intentions in the world this week. I meant to run. I wanted to take a yoga class. I even thought about how great a mid-day walk would be. Instead, I've let my schedule and phone calls and any little distraction sideline what could have already been an active, healthy week. The good news is that it's only Wednesday. I have a few more days to get going on those good intentions and get myself into gear. And you know what is going to help me get out from behind the laptop, close the cell phone and flip off the heels on my way to a walk or class or even a few simple stretches? A distraction from the laptop, of course!

What Burns more Fat Running or Lifting? What burns more fat? Running on the treadmill or 1/2 hr of weights. Answer. Running will burn more calories at the moment (perhaps 300 calories for 1/2 hour) but a 1/2 hour session will suck up more calories thoughout the day because the body needs to recover from muscle break down. In addition, the more muscle you have the more your body will metabolize fat and increase your caloric effectiveness. So PUMP UP!

Lower Your Blood Pressure With Vitamin CYou have always known Vitamin C was good for you. Check this out. A study has linked high blood levels of vitamin C with lower blood pressure in young women. The study involved almost 250 women. They entered the trial when they were 8 to 11 years old, and over a 10-year period, their plasma levels of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and blood pressure were monitored. Both their systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings, were found to be inversely associated with ascorbic acid levels. Previous research had already linked high plasma levels of vitamin C with lower blood pressure among middle-age and older adults. Berry Compound Reduces Aging Effects I have been telling you to eat berries every day for over 20 years. Now research is proving that what I was telling you to do was the correct thing for you. n a new study, elderly laboratory animals that ate a diet rich in the berry and grape compound pterostilbene showed a reversal of some of the negative effects of aging on brain function and behavioral performance. The researchers wanted to determine if pterostilbene would be effective in reversing the effects of aging on mature rats. They fed older rats either a control diet, or a diet adjusted to include either low or high concentrations of pterostilbene. The results indicated that in aging rats, pterostilbene was effective in reversing cognitive decline, and that improved working memory was linked to pterostilbene levels in the hippocampus region of the brain. The Route to Obesity Passes Through Your Tongue Once again you are what you eat comes into play. Stay active and focused this weekend while everyone you know is trying to get you to eat cookies and drink alcohol. JUST SAY NO. According to neuroscientists, obesity gradually numbs the taste sensation of rats to sweet foods, and drives them to consume larger and sweeter meals. There is apparently a critical link between taste and body weight. Previous studies have suggested that obese persons are less sensitive to sweet taste, but little is known about the specific differences in sense of taste between obese and lean individuals. Researchers investigated these differences by studying the taste responses of two strains of rats.

But when it comes to strengthening bones, milder forms of activity are not be enough. Thirty-eight men and 46 women, ages 55 to 75 years, all of whom were generally healthy but didn’t exercise regularly, were recruited to help determine the link between physical activity and bone strength. Researchers concluded that neither overall aerobic fitness nor mild physical activity had a significant effect on bone density. Greater muscle strength, however, was associated with stronger bones.

Terror in Mumbai, huge job losses, a terrible financial market, and the list goes on and on. But what has been encouraging to me is the number of people who see this as an opportunity to reinvent themselves. Many view current or pending unemployment as the one time in their life when they can try a career in something they love. Sure, they still need to work to make a living, but if the great “reset” button of life has been pushed for you, why not become the person you always wanted to be?

It’s basically any type of activity that gets your heart moving, but for real benefit you’ve got to get your heart rate above 65% of its maximum. In fact, the CDC mounts a well-orchestrated campaign each season to generate interest and demand for flu shots. But a recent study published in the October issue of the Archives of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine found that vaccinating young children against the flu appeared to have no impact on flu-related hospitalizations or doctor visits during two recent flu seasons. At first glance, the data did suggest that children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years derived some protection from vaccination in these years. But after adjusting for potentially relevant variables, the researchers concluded that "significant influenza vaccine effectiveness could not be demonstrated for any season, age, or setting" examined. The magazine covers these days are cluttered with photos of sexy models, which is making people across the world all the more motivated to fight obesity 2. Another reason behind the sudden craze of weight loss is that more and more people are becoming aware of the various maladies that can affect an obese person. Obesity is not only the root cause behind physiological conditions such as heart disease, stroke, inactive thyroid, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes, but also psychological problems such as depression, fatigue, loss of energy, trauma and hypertension.

Cholesterol-Lowering Drugs Will Wreck Your Muscles Cholesterol-lowering “statin” drugs often come with side effects. The most frequently reported consequence is fatigue, and about 9 percent of patients report statin-related pain. The results of a new study show that statins at higher doses may also affect the ability of the skeletal muscles -- which allow your body to move -- to repair and regenerate themselves. The study examined the proliferative capacity of human satellite cells when exposed to the statin simvastatin. They found that higher end concentrations of the drug led to reduced proliferation, which would likely negatively affect the muscle's ability to heal and repair itself. Monday Workout Tips Importance of Cooling Down After vigorous aerobic exercise it is important to take 10 minutes or so to cool down gradually. Do not stop abruptly. For example, after a long run or jog, walk around and keep moving, rather than just stopping. Cooling down properly (moving around) redistributes the blood that may have pooled in the extremities when you end your workout, and it prevents muscle stiffness because it allows the metabolic wastes to be worked out of your muscles.

More info on Genetically Changes FoodsGenetically Modified Foods Unsafe? Evidence that Links GM Foods to Allergic by Jeffery M. Smith MD Global Research, November 8, 2007 Genetically modified (GM) foods are inherently unsafe, and current safety assessments are not competent to protect us from or even identify most dangers. Overwhelming evidence to support this conclusion is now compiled in the book Genetic Roulette: The documented health risks of genetically engineered foods, which presents an abundance of adverse findings and theoretical risks associated with GM foods.1

Moderation is the Key The Evidence Against Soy The Evidence Against Soy Dow Chemical and DuPont, the same corporations that brought misery and death to millions around the world through Agent Orange, are now the driving forces behind the promotion of soy as a food for humans. They are financing anti-meat and anti-milk campaigns aimed largely at those concerned about animal welfare and the environment, trying to convince them that imitations such as "soymilk" are not only healthier than the real thing, but better for the earth too. There is no evidence that consuming soy products can improve health, reduce environmental degradation or slow global warming. In fact, the evidence suggests quite the opposite. The studies below regarding the effects of soy on health are eye-opening, particularly the review by the American Heart Association -- which no longer supports the health claims about soy endorsed by the U.S. government.

A Strict Mediterranean Diet Offers a Big Health Boost Sticking strictly to a “Mediterranean” diet offers substantial protection against cancer, heart disease and other major chronic illnesses, according to researchers. The research team reviewed 12 international studies which included more than 1.5 million people whose eating habits and health were tracked for follow-up periods of three to 18 years. Strict adherence results in a 9 percent drop in death from heart disease, a 13 percent reduction in incidence of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease and a 6 percent reduction in cancer. The traditional Mediterranean diet is rich in fruits, vegetables, fish and healthy fats such as olive oil. Sources: * Reuters September 11, 2008

Food Makers Skimp on Ingredients in an Effort to Fatten Their ProfitsMajor food makers have been quietly altering the recipes for their products. For candy, dairy products, and a variety of other food products, fillers have been added and cheaper ingredients are being used as substitutes in order to cut costs. Hershey’s, as one example, is using vegetable oil for a portion of the cocoa butter traditionally used in some of its chocolates, a move which has led to some complaints. Spice maker McCormick & Co. is now supplying food companies with cheaper spices. They are providing Mexican oregano instead of the pricier Mediterranean variety, and garlic concentrate instead of garlic cloves, which are heavier and costlier to ship. Mid Week PushWalking is fun and easy We walk every day, but modern life has reduced the number of steps we take. How often have you driven to the store and looked for the closest parking space? Do you take the elevator at work? The typical American takes fewer than 3,000 steps a day—which equates to about a mile and a half. Compare that to the Old Order Amish who average 18-20,000 steps daily. It doesn’t feel like exercise if you just add a few extra steps to your routine. Buy a simple pedometer, available for under $10, and see how many steps you take daily now. Then make a few simple changes:

The caffeine-loaded beverage causes blood to become sticky, a pre-cursor to cardiovascular problems such as stroke. One hour after drinking Red Bull, your blood system becomes abnormal, as might be expected from a patient with cardiovascular disease. Red Bull is banned in Norway, Uruguay and Denmark because of health risks. Sources: * Reuters August 14, 2008

Beautify Your Body While You Garden No time to get to the gym this weekend with all the yard work to be done? You don’t have to hit the gym to get the physical activity your body needs. Hit the yard! When the desire to eat diminishes, changing what and when you eat can actually make obtaining adequate nutrition easier. Start with smaller, more frequent meals. Plan for easier, low-preparation meals like tuna salad and sliced tomatoes, a baked potato topped with cottage cheese or sliced turkey on whole-wheat bread. Most importantly, consume the nutrients your body needs and experiment with changes to improve your eating habits as you age.

Circuit Training for great resultsCircuit training is a type of interval training in which strength exercises are combined with endurance/aerobic exercises, combining the benefits of both a cardiovascular and strength training workout. 'Circuit' means a group of activities and refers to a number of selected 'stations' positioned around the facility that are to be visited in rapid succession. The range of stations includes those comprising resistance equipment (e.g. hydraulic equipment or free weights), as well as allocated spaces to do squat thrusts, pushups, jumping jacks, sit-ups, and other exercises. Each person should complete the activity in one station before they proceed to the next station. They then continue until they have passed through all stations once or twice as required, or until a certain time requirement has been met.

There are many ways to the top and to their goals, and the training method we choose is just the one that suits them best at the time. The most important thing is the attitude of the client, the desire to get to the top and the relentless quest for a healthy and fit body and mind!"

Thursday Fitness ChallengeTwo of the best and yet simple ways to improve your overall health with supplements include*: * Increasing your intake of antioxidants ... * Increasing your intake of omega-3 oils ... If you recall, antioxidants are your body's #1 way to neutralize free radicals, those harmful metabolic byproducts that damage cells and tissues throughout your body. Scientific evidence has repeatedly demonstrated that antioxidants are a cornerstone in the promotion of heart health, immune system support, and memory support.* Antioxidants also appear to play a role in helping to slow your signs of aging.* Although many foods contain antioxidants, today's poor-quality diets are nearly always insufficient in the full range of these beneficial free radical scavengers.* That's why I strongly recommend increasing your antioxidant intake as a valuable way to optimize your health.*

Another Trainers Point of View for youArnold talked about it in “Pumping Iron. Most trainees worth their salt exercise it, at least most of the time. Of course, great coaches like John Wooden or Yogi Berra make it a must from their teams. I’m talking about mindfulness, of course. More than just mere mindfulness, however - I’m talking about putting conscious intention into all of your exercise efforts. There’s more to exercise success than merely showing up and going through the motions. Exercising with intention - making the so-called “mind-muscle connection” - is more than just a bunch of bodybuilder nonsense. When you’re determined to make your target repetitions and weights, your performance is better. You get a deeper sense of fatigue and stimulation in your muscles. And, arguably, you set the stage for better gains - at least, according to a study in the journal Psychological Science (full text found here.

Tuesday Exercise MythMyth: Exercise can get you all the results you want by itself! Wrong Exercise Is One Sure Way to Lose All the Weight You Desire. As with all responses to exercise, weight gain or loss is impacted by many factors, including dietary intake and genetics. All individuals will not lose the same amount of weight on the same exercise program. It is possible to be active and overweight. However, although exercise alone cannot guarantee your ideal weight, regular physical activity is one of the most important factors for successful long-term weight control. You need a balanced lifestyle change that includes weight training, cardio vascular exercise, a stretching program and of course most important the correct nutrition program for you and your goals.

Saturday Fitness FocusTurbocharging Your Workout How exercise can strip away fat and add muscle Maybe the last few months, years, or decades of your life have been one big snowstorm - a snowstorm of office parties and happy hours, of vending machine dinners, of midnight pizza deliveries. When you're a kid, those storms can be fun, but as you get older, they're more of a mess than anything else. They dump pounds and pounds of fat onto your once-svelte gut, leaving your abs buried deep under everything. How about a way to increase your stamina, flexibility, and strength while listening to your favorite dance mixes?
